uptown charlotte.

i'm so used to referring to all the cool areas as being "downtown", but "uptown" charlotte, nc is pretty phenomenal. i like the way it looks. it's aesthetically pleasing.

yay me being a photographer with my cute red hat from H&M! (purchased at $8.00 i believe)

ticket to ride ze lynx.

some cute ass old men playing chess.

shiny crotch mirror bird art!

nic found this photo gallery in this building filled with a bunch of different rooms with different attractions. i kind of felt like alice, from wonderland duh, when i walked it. there were shiny floors and doors everywhere.  we were the only ones really around, but it was nice. the gallery, located behind one of the doors, displayed a ton of black and white photos taken during the civil rights movement. there was a lot of emotion behind the photos. they were all really unique and eerie in a way - most being candid from raw perspectives you wouldn't except to see from that era.

it was a lovely day.
side note: i really don't enjoy having my picture taken anymore.
i always make these rude ass faces on purpose. "cheese"?! what is that?!

breakfast by nicolás

nic is my favorite chef. he is okay with catering to my gluten free needs. plus, he's super cuban and actually knows what he's doing with a spatula. he makes me food all the time and i'm totally okay with it.

his mom bought me some gluten free frozen waffles. i have not had a frozen waffle in months. all gluten free frozen foods tend to be suckish, in my eyes. these weren't suckish at all, though.
van's wheat-gluten free waffles: highly, highly recommended

gluten free waffles with homemade raspberry preserves and syrup & scrambled eggs with ham,
with some orange peach mango juice.

i love lucy!

television is for humans.
except, not.
this weekend i got to spend some time with lucy, my very good friend's yorkie. she actually watches tv, like a human. she barks when she sees dogs on the screen. she is absorbed by my laptop. she is adorable and human like.

yes, she is pictured shopping online.

when i closed my laptop and put it away, this is what she did. she was not having it. lucky for lucy, i like her and i also like watching youtube videos of puppies. we get along very well.

a blog to blog, finally.

hellos are overrated and corny, i feel. i've done too many and am a tad bit tired of introducing myself. let's keep it simple!

i'm a girl with a camera and a passion to capture the world around her. i am a student at a very nice university located in lushy green lumps. i study dietetics because i like food and health, and the two combined are very interesting for my forever-thinking noggin. because of my silly little forever-thinking noggin, i have undergone quite a bit of crazy life events. just kidding! my forever-thinking noggin is not little, and "crazy" is an understating adjective for my life events. these more than crazy life events have lead me to my discovery of my own gluten intolerance that have lead me to the reason why i love nutrition. even though i am consumed with learning biological terminology and nutritional facts and statistics, i love photography and get excited to share the things how i see them. as cliche as it is, i find beauty in everything.

i think beautiful is beautiful and gross is beautiful.

i enjoy thinking my perspective is unique, i hope i am able to inspire you to stand on your head to see things differently.

my name is known by too many, i feel sometimes. it has to do with that little phenomenon, or epidemic - if you will - called social networking. at first, i was excited to get my name out there, but sometimes i feel like  people expect too much when they know who you are and what you're capable of.is it sad to say i've stressed myself out with trying to live up to my own expectations? all my blogs, such as my flickr and my tumblr, have been ways for me to express myself - but with limits.
sometimes, i just want to do photography. photography my way. photography whenever i want. photography how i please. photography how i love. and i do love it. so, i don't want to discuss the work i've done or the things i hope to accomplish with this blog. i just want to do it and love it. i want to tell my story now, without
limits.
